About

Welcome to my blog~!
Business major by day, Mahou Shoujo by night.
Born and raised in California.
I am a pretty laidback person and maybe a little strange, what else can I say about myself?

If you care about the itty bitty details, I am:
Blood Type: A-
Skin Type: Dry w/ Combo t-zone, I would say sensitive too but unsure.
Body Type: Petite and fits in your pocket. Loli certified!

I have a preference for Korean and Japanese make up products, but who doesn't love little treats from Sephora? Though I research almost all products before I purchase, I do have a bias for beautiful design aesthetics (packaging).
I have a broad taste in fashion, but my top would have to be Japanese fashion.
Japanese fashion can cover so many spectrums and it's hard to pick only one style to stick with... that's probably why I love it.
In this blog, you'll see my lovely ootd coordinates, reviews on beauty products and purchases, and anything new and interesting that would I feel would benefit those who haven't decided to purchase it.

How did I become interested in Japanese Fashion?
All my life I've been influenced by japanese culture because of my father's personal interest and also profession as a photographer and later itamae (a sushi chef) . Growing up, my father introduced me to various interesting things from Japan like toys, video games, movies, animation, and culture itself. I never realized I was so heavily influenced by him for so long until I found baby photos of myself in traditional Japanese clothing. Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura, Final Fantasy, Hayao Miyazaki etc. were all introduced to me by him and if it weren't for him, I may have never gotten a chance to get so deep into Japanese fashion when I discovered it. I was very into chinese street fashion and also liked flipping through my mother's vogue, etc. fashion magazines during middle school. From there, my first exposure to the oshare side of j-fashion would have to have been through music in Japanese films. I first became interested in visual kei and then lolita. After that, my interest in the fashion spread to all types such as gyaru, ulzzang, fairy kei, cult party kei, dolly kei, gothic, nu-goth, etc. Though j-fashion is not the only style fashion I like, it is for the most part my favourite go-to fashion and many ideas of my fashion ideas stem from it.

Story of this Blog
The story of this blog is that it was something that I often put off just like many other things that I would like to do in life. Whether it was to concentrate and save money and time for my education or more important things, the reasons just pile up. Starting something of personal interest becomes increasingly harder. However, I came across a quote by Paul Coelho that inspired me to just get started regardless. " One day you will wake up and there won’t be any more time to do the things you’ve always wanted to do. Do it now. "And so I did. Remember of course, this should be done in healthy balance between the two. You can push things off to save money and prioritize just like me,  but more and more I've come to understand that money will come and go in life but not your precious youth. You've got to let yourself live. Because at the end of the day, yeah you may be doing real good for the future but what memories will you have to cherish and look back on? Money comes and goes but time only flows in one direction so make the most of it.
